I did a great job planning out what I wanted to say each week, finding myself buried in other work and not doing justice to the communication with our friends.  

When we know better, we can do better, and I promise to do better to keep you informed. 

A lot has been happening in our little piece of South Dakota.  

In May, we attended and presented at the SDSU Energize Conference held in Platte.  Thank you to those of you who attended our session, and to everyone who expressed curiosity and interest in what we are doing.  

For those of you who are new, let’s face it, that is most of you, let me reintroduce who we are and what we are doing.  

We, Olivia Downs and Amanda Vasek, opened our doors to the Authentic Arts Gallery and Vintage Store in June 2024 over the Scavenger’s Journey weekend.  We were very excited by the enthusiasm shown to us, not only from the guests who came to Geddes, but also the artists who had items for sale.  

We have increased the number of artists that we are working with, and also the types of art that are now being offered.  We are always looking for other individuals and businesses who want to partner with us to gain additional exposure to their products and services.  

We are also always looking for ideas for what people would like to see offered in the gallery.  We are scheduling different kinds of art and craft classes, and other offerings.  This is where we are asking for some help.  We have two different surveys requesting your input.

Just pick which category you most closely align with (Camper or Not a Camper/General) and fill out the survey.  It’s meant to be quick and easy.  If you get stumped, just use your gut.  

To show our appreciation, we will have a $25 gift card for a random respondent.  Just make sure to leave an email to contact you.  The survey response deadline (for both) is July 31, 2025, in order to implement changes this season.  We promise not to spam you or flood your inbox.  We are genuinely interested in your feedback.
