Rooted is not just an art festival. It is a gathering built around place, story, and connection. Set in the heart of southeast South Dakota, adjacent the Missouri River, this three-day weekend brings together artists, performers, and visitors for an experience that blends creativity with the landscape that inspires it.

Hosted by Authentic Arts, Rooted is designed to support artists, invite exploration, and create meaningful moments between people and the work they encounter.

Rooted was created to do something different.

Rather than a traditional “art in the park,” this event is intentionally designed as a multi-day, immersive experience that reflects the identity of this region. It brings together art, environment, and culture in a way that invites visitors to slow down, stay longer, and engage more deeply.
